Welcome to Camp Mountain Chai's summer camp staff section. We're so glad that you have stopped by
to learn about the exciting summer camp job opportunities that await you at Camp Mountain Chai.
Our staff is made up of caring individuals dedicated to making each camper's experience positive and
meaningful. And you yourself will have an amazing experience living up in the San Bernardino Forest of
Southern California. You will meet people from around the world and make friends that will last a lifetime.
Staff members at Camp Mountain Chai live in cabins with 8-12 campers and 2-3 additional staff members. The
cabins are spacious and clean with indoor bathrooms and showers in each cabin.
Days are spent either with your individual cabin or at your specialty area depending on your position. But
meals and evenings and other general camp times are spent together with the campers and all staff regardless
of whether they are a Counselor or Specialist.
Camp is located high up in the forest and about 30 minutes from the closest town. Therefore, in your free
time we have places just for staff available at camp so that you can get away. You will have internet, phone
and cable television access. And in the evenings after the campers go to bed, if you are off we will have
staff activities available for you if you so choose.
Anyone who has worked at camp can tell you what an incredible experience you will have. You will make friends
and influence children in a way that can only be done at summer camp. It is important for you to know that
this is more than just a full time job. Days can be long and exhausting as we start at 7:45 in the morning
and staff curfew isn't till 1 am. However, we will include in your daily schedule 1-2 hours off for you to
recharge yourself. This is your time, to rest, check e-mails, make phone calls, and, most importantly, get
some rest. Though you will work harder then you have ever worked before you will be rewarded in ways that
cannot be explained in writing.

*Our specialists work in a variety of different specialty areas around camp. We are currently
